Introduction With Lock Stitch Machine & Functions of it's Different Parts with Name.



Single Needle Sewing Machine Also Called Domestic Sewing Machine. It is run by foot and also electric power machine. Sometimes it’s called Plain Machine Or Straight Stitching Machine. Knit & Oven all types of Garments Industry have used this type of machine.  For quick & Simple sewing operations, single needle lockstitch sewing machine is the best.
A lock stitch Machine has two major parts, Upper and Lower Parts.  The Upper parts Includes the Arm, Bed and Head. 
Thread Guide:  It holds the thread in position from the spool pin to the needle.
Take Up Lever: To take up the top thread from the thread cone. It’s up and down motion feeds the thread to the needle and tightens the loop formed by the shuttle.
Thread Tensioner: Control the pull of the thread. To maintain the uniform tension of sewing thread during sewing.
Needle Clamp: Loosens and tightens the needle.
Needle: Stitches thread           through Fabric. To make a hole on the fabric surface for passing the yarn from one side to another for completing the stitches.
Presser foot: A foot-like function that holds the fabric In place, lift and lower gently. The presser foot is the ski-shaped part that passes the fabric down with a steady movement.
Throat Plate: A smooth flat surface with straight lines, guides you to sew straight lines.  Throat Plate is used for smooth movement of fabric.
Needle Position: For adjusting the needle. Center, Left, or Right.
Presser Bar Lifter: This helps raising and lowering the presser foot.
Stitch Width Control: Control the width of the Zigzag Stitch.
Spool Pin: This pin holds the thread spool on the machine. This pin located on the top of the machine.
Reverse Lever: When lowered this lever and enables the  mechanism to move backwards or in reverse. It allows the machine to sew in reverse, create a backstitch which knots the thread.
Bobbin Winder: It is a small external part that holds the bobbin while the bobbin is being loaded with thread.
Stitch Length Control: It allows the user to choose the length of the stitch. It is used for increasing & decreasing the stitch density per inch during sewing.
Hand Wheel: A wheel which is located on the right side of the machine which is driven by the motor. Also, it can be turned manually to raise and lower the needle and to take-up the lower thread for the bobbin. While sewing, must always be turned toward yourself to prevent unnecessary machine breakdowns.
Light Switch: The switch for the light.
Power Switch: A switch which is turned on & turned off the machine.
Bobbin Case: To hold the bobbin in a particular place of the machine & to control the lower thread tension.
Bobbin: Bobbin holds the thread inside the machine.
Feed Dog: A tooth-like part that helps to move the fabric under the presser foot.
